Bio

Rebecca Clark is attending Virginia Tech. She is a Ph.D. student in Instructional Design and Technology within the School of Education. She holds an MA and BA in History from Brock University in Canada. She has also completed an online BEd. in Adult Education while working for 6 years in the corporate insurance sector.

Her research interests include makerspaces or the making mindset and impacts on learning in higher education, adult literacy promotion and development, and instructional design and development in Higher Ed. Currently, she is a graduate assistant with the College of Engineering – Dean’s Office where she is responsible for developing online Engineering courses and Engineering faculty development in educational technologies. In the community, she is a tutor with the Literacy Volunteers of New River Valley (LVNRV) and helps the Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation (BMCF).
